Coda Automation Speed

I’m trying to create basically a chatbot in Coda, but I notice that the automation time is quite long like 20-30 seconds just to send the data from coda to Make.com (from me tracking the seconds between when I start it and when make.com says the scenario began).
Make.com usually finished the relay back and forth between coda & openai in like 10 seconds.

This is along time to wait for a response.

When I first set this up, it wasn’t taking nearly as long.

Anyone know why the automations take so long sometimes? Is there any way to reduce that lag time?

Current setup: Form fill with an automation that activates on the form fill and triggers a button push in that row.
The button sends json data to make via webhook.

I have been using automations since 2019 and as far as I know, it has always been like this. Generally it can take up to a minute for an automation to activate, regardless of the trigger (form submit, row change, new row, etc.).
For most purposes this is fine, but for what you are doing it is not ideal - and I don’t think there is a work around other than keeping the entire project in Coda (where other issues will pop up if you have very active chats). So, perhaps Coda is not the right tool for this…

I appreciate the response, thank you!
