I’m installing a pack and it wants a token. The ‘Generate new token’ wizard allows for a Pack type restriction, and wants a ‘Pack ID to grant access to’. Can this be used to limit the token’s access to just what the pack needs? How do I find this for the pack?
Hi @Johg_Ananda - We don’t make it too clear in that dialog, but that restriction limits the API token to only be able to manage that one Pack. This can be used when using the Coda Pack CLI to manage Packs from your local machine, and you want to make sure that token can’t be used for other purposes.
When it comes to a Pack that uses an API token, what it needs access to depends on the Pack itself, and you’ll need to reach out to the Pack author.
