Duration calculated with multiple field options

Hello wonderful people! Me again with a weird film thing :movie_camera:

I am setting up my Daily reports and I have a table that will hold schedule information that is input on the day

It would be cool if I could have a field that calculates the total working time for the day - but it needs to account for if certain fields may not be applicable. For example using Daniel Craig here, he was picked up in the morning and therefore in this case the time from “Leave for Loc” is counted, but released directly from Location at the end of the day, therefore his day ends with the “Dismiss from HMU Ward” time, ignoring the “Arrive at Home”

While Ana de Armas has her day counted from Pickup straight through to dropoff.

And Edi Patterson self drives and her contract doesn’t give her travel time as paid - so her day starts and ends with HMU.

Is this more complicated than my new Coda brain can handle?

Thanks ever so much, I am constantly amazed by what I can do here!

Something like this would work, but keep in mind that if starting and/of stopping is not on the same day, you need to work with day-time fields and not, like in my sample, just time fields.

This is not AI, but just straightforward CFL.

I made some assumptions, like that if a time is shown, it counts as start/end of work time.

oooh I see. So you list which fields to look at, tell it when to ignore things, then it ends up with which field TO look at. You even added in reducing by the lunch break…this is VERY cool.

Will work that in and see how it goes. I really appreciate it!
