Jump to new page & replace

Is there a way to create a link or button that will replace my current page with a new page. I don’t want it to open a new tab.

There is no action available for a a button to delete a page, so I am afraid not.

I don’t want to delete a page. I want the current page to close & disappear, then open the new page where the old one was.

sorry @Sam_Stamport , I understood replacing as deletion.
yes you can use controllers to move between pages without opening new tabs.
grab the object link of a controller / a line / a table and click on it, it moves you to that page without opening a new tab.
