When I write a comment in any cell in Coda, the comment doesn’t attach to that cell — it gets added all the way on the far left instead. This doesn’t happen in Notion or Google Sheets.
You can’t open and view all the comments in one panel like you can in Google Sheets.
After setting the text inside cells to different colors, you can’t filter by those colors.
I want to buy Coda Premium and manage all my work in Coda, but many features that exist in free Google Sheets aren’t available here.
Coda has a VERY different structure to what spreadsheets, word documents and any other legacy documents have.
If you keep looking for their features in Coda, you are going to get very frustrated. However, if you learn Coda and the way it is structured and how to make the most of that, you will have a tool that is far more sophisticated.

As @Piet_Strydom said, codas structure is a bit different. But, you can achieve the same goals with a different path.
Coda stores comments on row or canvas level. You can make any text column a canvas and attach comments to words in that cell - the comments won’t be stored at row level.
Inside a row you can see all comments attached to that row, inside a canvas (when opening that cell) you can see where the comments are attached in that canvas.
Cells can be colored by a conditional format using a select column as the switch. This is even quicker, although it takes just a little more space in the layout.
