Hi,
I’m importing a Google spreadsheet as a new table in Coda, where I have one column that consists of timecode data in the format 00:10:08 (mins, secs, frames).
When I import this into Coda, it automatically switches this to a time format that includes AM along with the option to choose times at 30min intervals. I can switch the time format so that it displays the timecode properly but I still have the option of a dropdown for 30min intervals which I’d prefer to avoid as it’s going to confuse the client.
Is there any way of getting Coda to view this simply as a plain text number?
Many thanks.
Dear @ole_sturm,
The enhance the chances to get a proper solution, I recommend that you create a shared sample doc with the expected outcome and and a source spreadsheet, from where you import.
Hi Jean Pierre,
Here’s a link to the table I’m having trouble with. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Ciao
Dear @ole_sturm,
Sorry for the slow reply, I was traveling
See the screen recording and at the end you will see that I change the column type from select to text, so the content will be text based as you requested.
Somehow Coda interpretates the values as a select list, but as you see you can update the column type property afterwards.
Hopeful this meets your expectations:
Note: If you want to add more of the same type of data with the same structure, you can add it and then the settings will be straight away correct.
TIP:
Just make a table with 1 row and the two columns as text, then when you import in that table the .CSV data, all will be fine and you could then delete the first row content.
