Suggestion: Add a Map View for Tables (similar to Notion’s new Maps feature)

I’d love to see Coda add a Map View for tables — similar to what Notion recently released:
https://www.notion.com/help/maps

This would allow us to visualize any dataset that includes location data (addresses, coordinates, or city/state fields) directly on an interactive map — without relying on embeds or third-party tools.

Why this matters:

  • Many Coda docs include data tied to places — project sites, offices, job locations, vendors, travel logs, field reports, etc.

  • Currently, the only way to visualize this spatially is by embedding Google Maps or using complex custom packs.

  • A native Map View would make it easy to see where things are located, filter and group data geographically, and click through to the underlying row details.

Example use cases:

  • Construction project database → view active jobs by city or region.

  • CRM or vendor database → view clients on a map.

  • Field reports → see inspection locations or site issues.

  • Asset tracking → view equipment or properties spatially.

Suggested features:

  • Choose which field represents the location (Address, Lat/Long, or formula).

  • Support for clustering markers when zoomed out.

  • Ability to filter and group directly on the map (just like Gallery or Timeline views).

  • Optional satellite and dark mode styles.

  • Integration with existing column filters and color rules.

  • Clicking a pin opens the row card.

This would be a powerful visual layer that brings spatial context to Coda’s relational data — perfectly aligned with how other views (Table, Kanban, Calendar, Gantt, etc.) already work.

Have you tried any of the mapping packs? Tripmap is free, and locationiq has more features but is $1/month. I don’t know if these would integrate as seamlessly as a native solution….

I’ve tried the Google Maps pack — it works great overall, but it only supports displaying a single pin in map view.
Tripmap is nice for showing the route and distance between two addresses (similar to Google Maps).
LocationIQ, on the other hand, only provides a static map.

What I’m really looking for is a dynamic, interactive map that can display multiple pins, where users can zoom and pan — ideally with the ability to apply conditional formatting to pins, similar to how Notion’s map view works.

Agreed! This is a super common use case for us. We have tried the different mapping packs and there are some clunky workarounds that get us to something kind-of acceptable, but a native view would be wonderful.

Lol, i dont really recommend you give it any hope … this has been suggested since 2022 and now we are almost 2026 :upside_down_face: and all our suggestion has same ending…
