is there a way to have different “filter items” formula for a lookup field in a form depending on the layout?
My use case follows up rows in a table in different contexts, so I’d like to be hable to show a list of items which would be different according to the form being filled.

It would be great if you shared a dummy doc to show the expectations you have in mind.
But it’s possible as follows,
You have one column with
Items, like banana, pear, tomato, cucumber
And in the column next to it, you write if it is fruit or vegetable
Then you can filter the lookup and when you filter on fruit you will get banana and pear as option to select from.
