I’d love this but at the same time I need an ios app to justify putting any kind of tasks or project management into Coda. Is there a planned update or some kind of pack that will allow for better functionality? I can’t run to my computer everytime a task comes to mind. Further, I love the calendar integration from Notion. Is this on the roadmap?

I am making a prediction for 2026 (and staking a claim to the term)…
2026 will be the year of “VIBE NO-CODING”.
(1) Using LLMs to generate No-Code apps is easier for non-developers
(2) The reduced token count makes it more accurate and less error-prone
(3) Mere mortals (muggles?) can UNDERSTAND how the finished app works.
(4) so they can maintain and extend it safely and easily!
Whereas ‘vibe coding’ produces huge volumes of raw code (so may tokens, bugs are inevetable) that most users cannot understand - but must take on faith - test endlessly to ensure its correct - and have no hope of maintaining or tailoring the code base - so they must depend on the LLM to do all that (with the attendent risks of errors, bugs, security loop-holes, and hallucinations). Don’t get me started on the horror stories I am hearing from my larger clients.
Many corporate IT and Security departments are seeing the “Technical Debt” from vibe generated code accumulating quietly and quickly in their corporate empires.
But this Coda MCP capability lets us do Vibe No-Coding to generate Coda Workflows in a much safer, understandable environment.
This is the toolset we have been waiting for!

Coda Integration vs. Localized Agentic Architecture

While the visual appeal of an integrated web chat is understandable, a “Local-First” architecture offers superior security, performance, and workflow integration for enterprise use cases.
1. The Immediate Question: “Can we embed a Custom GPT?”
The Technical Answer: No. You cannot simply embed the standard ChatGPT web interface (via iframe) into a Coda page. Both Coda and OpenAI restrict this for security reasons (Clickjacking protection).
The “Integrated” Alternative: You can achieve similar functionality using Coda Packs (specifically the “OpenAI Assistants” pack).
- How it works: You connect a Coda Doc to an OpenAI Assistant API. Users type prompts into a table cell, press a button, and the response flows into another cell.
- Limitation: This is good for simple Q&A but fails for complex workflows. It forces you to upload your internal data to OpenAI’s “Knowledge” storage, creating a “Black Box” where you lose control over how your data is chunked, indexed, or accessed.

- Zero Data Retention: The agent comes to the data. It reads your Wikis, Codebases, and DBs where they live, processes the answer in fleeting memory, and forgets it. You never upload your IP to a generic “Knowledge Base.” Instead, browser sub-agents navigate your Coda documents and other secure SaaS platforms with your authority, of course.
- FedRAMP/Compliance: The Codex strategy, uses a Rust-based local CLI that can be deployed in restricted environments (Azure/FedRAMP) where public web chat access is blocked.
B. The Workflow: Coda as “Command & Control,” Not “Compute”
Instead of trying to force the AI inside Coda, use Coda as the Interface and Antigravity/Codex as the Engine.

- Workflow Integrity: Users don’t “open a separate browser window”; they just work in Coda, and the answers “magically” appear, powered by a secure local agent running in the background.
