Wishlist - Coda 2025

I would be happy if at least these three fundamental problems could be solved:
1. Integrated System of Views Through Multi-Tab Design

In Coda, data views exist as isolated elements, which makes working with them fragmented and navigation cumbersome. Integrating them into unified stacks with multi-tabs and horizontal navigation would ensure data cohesion and make switching between formats more seamless and intuitive.

2. Revamped Notification Center

Great examples of how this is effectively implemented can be seen in Notion and AirTable.
Coda’s notification and comment system is similarly fragmented: system notifications in a separate sidebar are limited, there’s no archive, and comments are scattered between the general sidebar and individual record pages. Integrating these elements into a unified notification center with filtering and navigation could significantly improve communication and workflow within Coda.

3. Fully-Functional Mobile App

The issues with Coda’s mobile app are well known. There’s no offline mode, many editing features are unavailable, navigation is inconvenient, and performance leaves much to be desired. Improving the app would turn it into a powerful tool for users working not only at their desks but also in dynamic environments where mobility and functionality are essential.
