Does anyone know a way to force the sidebar nav to be collapsed on page load? We have a team that uses a doc with several layers of subpages (see screenshot below). When I access the doc, the sidebar is in the same uncollapsed configuration as the last person on the team who used it. What I want is for the left sidebar to be fully collapsed anytime I access the doc from my browser.
One possible solution that woulld work for me is to add something like this to the end of my bookmarked URL if ?collapsedsidebar=true. Does anyone know of a solution? Thanks!
Hey @Matt_McClain! Thanks for reaching out. While this is not possible at this time, this sounds like a feature request the Coda team has been tracking to be able to set defaults for the page list panel. That said, we have moved this post into the Suggestion Box for other members of the Community to chime in on this. We’ve gone ahead and tracked your vote for this feature formally.
However, one thing to clarify:
Coda remembers the last state of your pages list when you reload a doc, and it’s not affected by other users – so if you collapse it, the next time you load the doc it will stay collapsed.
For docs with more than 1 page, users who open the doc the 1st time will see the pages list expanded, but if they collapse it, it should stay collapsed when they open the doc again.
