It would be handy if you didn’t always have to delete the standard “New event” to enter your own title for a new event (which is the case in the vast majority of cases).
“New event” should be grayed out and the cursor should be at the very beginning, ready for your own title. Only in case that no title is entered should the title automatically be “New event”.
