Hi everyone!
I’m excited to share a quick update on what’s ahead for the Coda community, and to introduce a new face who’ll be spending a lot more time here with you.
First, what’s coming soon: we’ll roll out new opportunities for community members to participate in virtual events and conversations that inform upcoming product decisions. These sessions are designed for you to share feedback, exchange ideas with the team, and discuss what’s resonating (and what’s not).
To kick this off, our first two virtual product conversations will take place on February 10 and February 12. We’ll share registration details and agendas shortly.
In the meantime, I’m thrilled to introduce @Ruggy_Joesten1, who’s joining us as our new Community Manager.
Ruggy brings more than 16 years of experience building high-trust, highly engaged communities across tech, creators, and live experiences. His work has consistently focused on creating spaces where people feel heard, supported, and empowered to contribute—especially in communities with passionate, thoughtful, and technically curious members (which should sound familiar).
At Coda, Ruggy will be focused on:
-
Strengthening the health and culture of this forum
-
Creating more meaningful ways for you to connect with each other and the Coda team
-
Making sure community feedback doesn’t disappear into a void, but is responsibly summarized and shared with decision-makers
On a more personal note, Ruggy is based in New York City, is currently the #13-ranked shuffleboard player in the world (yes, really), and recently welcomed a Cavapoo puppy named Biscuit into his life—who you may hear about from time to time.
Most importantly, Ruggy believes deeply in building with communities, not just for them. You’ll see him jump into conversations, listen closely, and help turn great ideas into momentum.
Please join me in giving Ruggy a warm welcome, and if you’re interested in attending our first two sessions, you can sign up to attend at the links below:
Note: Space is limited for both events. These are small-group virtual sessions, and attendees will be selected via lottery. All confirmed guests will receive a confirmation by Monday, Feb 3.
