I’m looking for formula help when I select a date in a column, an item in select list is chosen in another column.

Do not exactly understand what value you want to enter according to your date. You need to specify that point somewhere else.
In this quick example I make a relation between date and value
And then in the “Test table” i’m simply call a lookup from “Table” and use “referenced by” option from lookup to get the answer
Of course you can set more complex condition (for example if the date is between X and Y, then choose answer Z, etc…)
