Does Coda have a backup

If Coda doesn’t what do users do?

Thanks
Glenn

Hi Glenn,

It all depends on what you mean with “backup”.

Yes, Coda has backup servers and disaster recovery procedures in place to provide a high online availability, just like any other SaaS supplier.

Can you download your doc, and restore it somewhere else?
As far as data is concerned, you can put in place various processes to make a copy of your data as PDF or CSV files.
As far as functionality is concerned, you need the Coda servers to reproduce the functionality you have built for your doc.

This means that the tighter your functionality and your data is coupled, the more difficult “backups” are going to be.

If you are concerned about damage to your doc internally: Coda has a deep version history that it maintains. Even so, if I make major changes to a doc, I always make a copy first.

Thanks Pete,
I was not worried about Coda keeping the most recent data it was more downloading spreadsheets and the pages. Was hoping not to have to do that one page or spreadsheet at a time.
