Feeding a checklist column from a select list column

Hi, I’m working on a doc for a group travel plan and I have a column where I can choose from the list of participants.
I would like to use the data in that column to feed a different column where these names will show up as a checklist, so that I can track payments. How can I do that?Thanks

Great question. It depends on how you have the data laid out. Do you have an example that you can share here?
