How to update a column(s) via drag and drop? A Scenario to consider

I’ve been working with software that updated values by dragging rows between filtered views for 25 years. I never realized how much I relied on it. I’ve seen some other threads asking about this so instead I will pose a scenario to see what people think.

I am trying to set up a question-storming workshop using Coda and the process goes like this:

  1. Generate questions
  2. Group/Theme the questions (into higher context questions)
  3. Prioritize the groups/themes

I was hoping that I’d be able to find a way to visually align questions to a parent theme/group from the same table using a relation. This would involve marking some questions as Themes (boolean) and then grouping related questions under them. Similar to stacking stick notes.

I don’t want to get too prescriptive, I’m just looking for a way to solve this with Coda. I have an open mind

Have you tried the Kanban/ block functionality?

Yes, I have. I understand where you’re coming from but I’m dealing with a relation column that needs to be update and I haven’t found a way to implement a grouping based on that that updates the value. Happy to be wrong.
