@Attila_Szenes,
Many thanks for your excitement about the update look and feel—it’s much appreciated.
The updates for both the data layer and only loading data for the page you’re on versus the whole doc, aren’t live yet, but we are absolutely still working on them. As I shared previously, granularly loading data is also an important step to delivering on our secure sync-page milestones. All of these taken together, should help with some of the scenarios you shared.
We’ll share updates on these “gamechangers” and others features as we have them!

folks, I shared a small update re:sync pages and you can read more here, many thanks!

Will this also include pack refreshing columns that stops any other action from being executed until the syncing is completed?
Right now, if a pack runs a sync, any button press, even if it’s not related at all, won’t run until the refresh is completed.
Thanks

With the upcoming updates you’ve teased, will addressing this 125 MB limit be part of the plan? Specifically:
-
Will we be able to access docs above that size via API once the updates roll out?
-
If not fully removed, is there a roadmap to raise or relax that limit (for example, via plan upgrades or opt-ins)?
Also including @Eric_Koleda. Thanks!
Yes—while it won’t be no limits, it’ll create the opportunity for us to go beyond the current limit of 125 MB for this specific scenario.
While this isn’t tied to these infrastructure updates I mentioned, it is one we’re aware about & agree we can make the refresh experience non blocking, so you can press buttons and other things stay interactive.

@Ayuba_Audu
Great news. Any increase in the limit would be a game changer. Can you give any hints around timeline (~6 months, 9 months+ etc)?

What’s happening with the Mobile and Tablet Apps? They’re an absolute disgrace. It seems like years ago ya’ll said you were putting resources on this but nothing has improved. Is there even anyone working on those at all or are you just never going to improve them?

Many thanks for your feedback, @Heather_Mann!
In short, we know there are many needs on mobile and we’re focused first on making sure everyone can reliably and efficiently open any doc or link on the go—more on mobile earlier in the thread here.

No hints yet, though once we have something concrete we’ll be very loud about it.

That two biggest missing piece to Coda are:
- You can’t create tables via API which every other platform similar to Coda I’ve worked with allows.
- Horrible mobile experience which many on this thread I’ve already commented about.
While I agree with many of the other comments mentioned in this thread, these two seem to be basic and offered by all of your competitors in this space.
I hope that these will be addressed with your upcoming changes.

Repost: Tabs for Tables
Can we have tabs for tables? I have too many views and it clusters my pages and documents.
You don’t have to introduce a new feature for this.
An alternative will be to allow the navigation panel to be at the top of the table (currently its only either left or bottom).
I wrote a post here: New Navigation Tabs Location for Detail View

Rather than posting here, I suggest you add it to the Suggestion Box and let it collect votes. I am sure that Coda will pay attention to it once it reaches a certain number of votes.
