Coda vs Google AppMaker -> Scalabilit of Coda

Hi there,

I am currently building some internal applications using Google AppMaker for my organization. one of the key benefits I have there is that I can run it on my own MySQL instance, which gives me the flexibility to allow easily reporting from tools such as Tableau but also to create more complex views using SQL.

At the same time it is quite tricky to build nice looking apps and actually requires a lot of work in terms of css, javascript to make it fully functional.

How do you think these two tools compare?

The other question is the following: How do I keep coda rows updated based on external data. Is this only possible via Zapier or Integromat or can I somehow get programmatic access to the underlying data as well?

Also could other tools in a similar way receive the data that I maintain in Coda?

Cheers,
Konrad

It would be impossible to completely answer that without your specific use case, organization goals, app requirements, etc.
