This is my first time testing out Coda as I am looking for a Notion alternative, so I am trying to re-create one of my Notion pages. And I am already stuck, that was quick! The collapsible list doesnt seem to open to let me put information inside of it, I had to do some massive work-arounds that taking a long time, just to get anything inside.
There are many subtle and not-so-subtle differences between Coda and Notion. However, you will find that there are quite large numbers of people in the community who used to use Notion. I encourage you to keep trying.
I found Notion first, then Coda, and used the two together for a while. That lasted until one day I wanted to do something a little bit more serious. I tried in Notion first, quickly ran into trouble. If I remember it was using boolean logic while filtering a table. Notion just couldn’t do it. I then tried it in Coda, and it was a breeze.
You will find that the consensus is that Notion is for more simple things where you want it to look nice. Coda is for serious docs, especially once you start getting into using and maybe even making packs.
Does this mean that I have to change the title to a Header in order to open it? Also, my main is issue that im not able to grab large sections of text and place them inside of the collapsible list.
Thanks for the video! I’m not sure it addressed my issue though. My main is issue that im not able to grab large sections of text and place them inside of a collapsible list. It looks your video was just showing me how to create them.
