"Copy to clipboard" - Button/Function

Is it possible to use the new Pack functionality to create a copy to clipboard action? I don’t have access yet, I don’t know much about what it is capable of.

@Ed_Liveikis don’t see why it wouldn’t be possible since the packs are based on javascript. I haven’t checked this use case but I’m already on the Packs beta. I might check on this and if I’ve any advance, I’ll let you guys know!

Just in case anyone takes this path too… Apparently Copy to Clipboard was in this update but was then removed.

Hi @Tim_Daff :blush:

What do you mean by :

I can still find CopyToClipboard() as a Button Action :innocent:

or use it in a Button Formula :blush:

Oh nice @Pch :slight_smile:

I think it was introduced in the linked article “8 new updates”, then removed, so the article changed to “7 new updates” – but later it got reintroduced without a community message :slight_smile:

So in the end we have copy to clipboard yay!

When I use the “Copy to Clipboard” button to copy text from another cell, the formatting of the text is not retained. Specifically, it gets rid of all of my bullet lists. Does anyone have a workaround for this?

@Andrea_Levinge ,
you can make a column button with the CFL as in the screenprint below. If you paste it to a Coda canvas, it show the text from the Display column or the row in which you clicked the button as a @ reference to the row. If you past to a text editor (or any other program) it will paste a url to the row.
