This used to be one of my pet peeves with Microsoft Word and thank God they recently fixed this! But Coda suffers from the same annoying functionality.
Is this a limitation? Can it be fixed?

I run into this bug countless times a day. It mars what is otherwise a flawless experience. Each time it happens I think, “Oh yeah. Unlike everyone else in the known universe, Coda can’t get this one simple thing right.” I really wish Coda would give this issue some attention.
Many thanks to the Coda team for addressing this issue. It removes the last major impediment preventing me from using Coda more fully.
