Duplicated docs maintain table & column ID's

I wonder if this is by design or not, but I’m super grateful that duplicating a Coda doc maintains table and column ID’s in the duplicated version. Working on an API solution at the moment and being able to simply duplicate a doc in order to have development and production versions is a nice help.
