Change column id via API

Hello Coda Community,

I’m currently working on a project involving two similar documents, one in English and the other in Indonesian. To streamline my workflow, I’ve added a new column to each document. However, I’ve noticed that the column IDs are different in each document.

Is there a way to update, or change the column IDs so that they are the same in both documents? This alignment would greatly help in maintaining consistency and efficiency in handling multilingual data.

Any insights or suggestions on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated!

Sadly no. Once a column ID is set is does not and cannot change.

You can access the columns via name in the api, but that doesn’t sound like it would work as you need the names to be in different languages anyways.
