Error on formula but no error?

I’m trying to learn Coda and running into problems…

I have a table (table 1) which I want to get a list of all the unique items (unformatted). I tried it on my test database table and managed to use the following formula which displays a comma separated list (correct), but when I copy and paste it and try it on a different table I get an error but there’s no useful information to help me troubleshoot.

As soon as I add .bulletedlist() (which isn’t what I want) it works though? What am I doing wrong?

My questions:

  1. Why is the formula not happy (red dot?).
  2. Where do I see what the problem is so that I can troubleshoot?
  3. Why is the copy and pasting not working (when in all the tutorials Coda claims that copying and pasting should just work fine)?
  4. Why do I have to display it as a bulleted list in order to see the results? Why doesn’t it work with, for example, .List()?

Here is a screendump of the issue:

And here is a link to the doc I’m playing with:

Please help!
Thanks,
K

Can you share the doc?

I did, it’s the Tutorial For Dummies page linked, here’s the link:

I tried to add some callouts to better explain the issue. Not sure if it’s clear? I just don’t understand why the formula works on one table but not the other. Is it perhaps the referenced list that is causing the problem?
