File size formula

Hello,

Could someone explain to me how this formula works in one of my old tables? It shows an error, but it still calculates the total correctly. However, I can’t get it to work in any other table.

You can see that Size is treated as text so that’s why it says is wrong argument type. Try Size.ToNumber()

I don’t have a column with that Size name in the table at all.
It’s a mystery how it works

Are you suing any packs? The FILES column content (images in this case) is local or you pull those images from another table?

Please share a dummy doc.

I’ll be dammned.. I have no clue. Maybe you just copied by mistake the Size column chip from another table. I don’t get that column in suggestions. Check within the doc maybe you have it somewhere in another table but anyway… it’s a weird thing.

this is mysticism.
I think I once saw some hack somewhere here in the community how to enter it and it works, or maybe the code changes the shape to some extent and later it doesn’t work or something.

But at least everyone who copies this table can calculate the file sizes for themselves, there is no such option in the default.

it looks like each file in the FILES column has a Size property
