Homemade CRM - How to apply conditional logic to a select list column in a card layout (show/hide depending on the fill value)

Hi there, I have been building a bespoke CRM for my start-up and I am wondering, is there a way to apply conditional logic to a select list column in a card layout (show/hide depending on the fill value)?

Context: For each marketing blast sent to my contact list, I have a column that represents the blast and whether it was sent to x contact. Each blast represents 1 column. In the card view, I then have all blasts and if it is sent to x contact. What I would like is to

  1. either summarise these columns into a list, so my sales team can see at a glance what marketing this contact has received or
  2. only have the blast details displayed if it was sent to that contact.

I originally had all the blasts detailed as a select list, but this was a nightmare to update when another blast was sent.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!
Ash

Hi Ashley,

Welcome to Coda and the community!

Could you share a copy/ example of the doc? It is very difficult to assist without access to the underlying structures that you have built.

Piet

Thanks very much Piet, here is a link to the example doc https://coda.io/d/_dyZavTIOf79/Summary_su3Z6543

In the dictionary you can see that I originally had all the blasts as a select list but updating this was very burdesom so I went with 1 blast = 1 column, so I could quick copy and paste who was sent what.

Hi @Ashleigh_Hauertmann ,

It is not clear to me what a blast is, and how you report that.
Can you please explain?

Thanks
Piet

Apologies a blast is when we send a marketing email. So for each teacher, I want to be able to see what marketing emails they have been sent - currently I do this each column representing a 1 marketing blast. These get sent in mass campaigns I.e. they are not sent one my one manually, so the steps I take to do this is:

  1. select the teachers I want to send the blast to in CODA (using filters/ criteria)
  2. Export that data and send the marketing blast
  3. Add a new column with the date the email was sent and the name of the blast (i.e. New offering)
  4. Add sent against each of the teachers that the blast was sent to under the original criteria.
