Importing Google Doc with comments / MS Word solution?

I did a search to find a way to import a Google Doc and keep the comments intact, and found this:

I’m shocked by step 2 of the recommended solution:

“In your Coda document, use the “Upload” feature to import the downloaded .docx file. This will bring the document into your Coda page.”

I thought there was no way to import MS Word documents? I just did another search again now, but can’t find any instructions for how to do it.

Am I missing something?

Welcome to Coda, and to the community!

I am not sure what @Rh_Jaffery had in mind with “Upload feature”. The closest topic that I am aware of is to use /File. This will import a copy of the file (any file) into Coda, but it retains its original format.

You can simply have a link to the original file, or show an inline version of the file. If you want to edit the file, you still need to open it in the original tool used to create it.
