Hi all. This is Giovanni, from Mexico City. I started using Notion some months ago. Being an amateur developer, I was delighted imaging the endless possibilities I could use the product for. It only took me some days to discover the database functionality was far from powerful, but managed to get good use of them, for a time. Later, I knew I could’t keep using Notion if I wanted a real solution. Then I found Coda.
Coda just make me smile. With Coda I can imagine things and then make them real. At least, many of them. Sadly, I haven’t found a good way to have nice wikis and include documents in DB cell.
I would make this different:
Hi,
my name is Sven, from Hamburg, Germany.
Glad to have found this community!
We are currently in the process of setting up our own company which will kick-off as a small start-up and in the process of doing so we are looking for a software which can support our customer management, internal processes, service development, etc.
We are currently in the selection process evaluating a couple of different solutions and Coda is among the top 2 to be used. At the beginning we’re going to be a small team of just a couple of people using the software but during that time we will be heavily engaged in developing the various functions we need for our processes.
What I have found with Coda is that it is far superior to others when it comes to formulas and automations which I really like and I can see a lot of various requirements we can cover with those functions.
What I have found rather disappointing so far are the layout and visualisation options. We want to use a software with which we can also conduct project reviews with our customers and this requires obviously far better layout possibilities currently available. Layout of columns, usage of logos, using company colours and fonts, etc.
Of course, we could use a separate tool while discussing with customer but then we are having the topic of exchanging data, updating, et cetera which we obviously want to avoid.
I’d be very curious to learn from this community how others have addressed this challenge and perhaps to see even some screenshots sharing visuals.
Looking forward for an interesting exchange!
Cheers
Sven
Guten Tag Sven,
Willkommen in der Gemeinschaft!
You are very accurate with your concern about the layouts and visual perspective that Coda provides. (At the moment - I hope.)
There has been a lot of requests from the community around this, also for international settings. (Date, decimal notation etc.)
If you have not yet looked at the examples in Gallery | Coda, I can recommend that. There is a lot of packs for direct integration with other products, as well as connecting through Zapier and Intecom.
I hope that you and your company find Coda useful - They are adding new functionality regularly, and a lot of us hope for better presentation functionality soon.

Hi Piet,
thanks for the warm welcome and kind words!
I have been spending too little time yet at the gallery but got an impression of the flexibility of the tool - though our final decision will depend very much upon what is happening in the next few months with the layout developments. Latest by xmas we will take a final decision. Until the I probably will subscribe to the Pro version and play around with it, learn and try to grab the potential.
Hopefully, there will be some new functions on the layout soon.
Cheers and greetings to Kapstadt
Sven
Just shout if you have further questions. The community is quite vibrant. I have only been at it for a year, there are people in the group that do very interesting things.
Hi everyone! I’m Brian, founder of Supersynchronous
Happy to be Coda Community Official!
My origin story & why I think Coda is the future: Hi I'm Brian · About Brian
Hi everyone,
Michael at the keyboard: across the pond from the land of the narrow-minded, better known as Germany. (expl. the Ger- is short for bugGer)
I’m not a coder, I’m just a user and a super-dilletant: I tried coding, but I have two left square brackets on my keyboard. Nevertheless I program much better than Socrates did in his time. At least that.
The dream that is in the software, that is often told when people think about more than just business models, is also in Coda. I love that dream. And, dear Codashians, we’re very close to that. It’s not far off. We’re very close. So stay prepared to let go of the old. Argh - I’m already starting the chatter again.
So, keep on coding in the free world.
And thanks for this code-architecture.
Michael
oh dear !
sticky-meme alert !
we are all going to end up being called “Codashians” !

Hello,
My name is Thierry, 45 years old and I’m Belgian. As a bus driver, I was looking for a solution to better organize my professional and private life and so I discovered Coda almost 3 months ago now.
I am not a professional Excell etc. But, I’m passionate about Coda and I do my best to help the community which allows me to learn faster and thanks to the support of @Christiaan_Huizer and @Pch who are a great support ^^. Because unfortunately my English is not good at all and so I decided to create a guide in French to help as much as possible people who have difficulties to follow in English like me ^^.
I also registered to the PhD program which I hope will allow me if I am selected for the next session to get the necessary skills to set up the Coda French project.
I also set up a discord vocal server to welcome people who want to learn in group too Coda French (Coda French)
Sincerely,
Thierry
Hi everyone,
Nice to e-meet you all.
I’m Ivan, a founder at You are launched. Working on supporting startup partners with product roadmap building and supporting the team with all the deliverables. In addition to all of these I’m living in Ukraine. Yes, that’s right, the one that is in war with Russia. In a free time supporting friends in the army with supplying different stuff to them.
So, feel free to ask me anything, I’m open to any discussion.
Hello there!
My name is Sarah, I’m based in NY. I love understanding how to use tools like Coda to help individuals make their lives easier.
I am here to dive deeper into Coda and sharpen my skills - I’d like to become more proficient in my coding/scripting skills so that I can help develop more complex and scalable task management tools.
Excited to be here!
Hello) I just registered here, so maybe I’m doing something wrong in the chat I can’t find information anywhere about whether Coda.io works on the Russian market? Maybe you know?
Hi everyone, I’m coming from using Notion, I’m excited to learn something new here.
Welcome to my corner of the internet, where I’m thrilled to share my experiences with you!

Hi everyone!
I’m Kim, and I stumbled across Coda while looking for project management apps in the App Store.
My job entails developing applications and automated solutions for working groups. We heavily rely on Alteryx and Quickbase to get the job done, with a bit of Tableau thrown in there as well.
I would love to see some enhanced, native visual capabilities within Coda to better visualize my data for reporting. Like have ‘Dashboard’ be an object I can add to the doc, then add charts and metrics within that object that I can resize to create a cohesive looking object. Something like below that gives everyone a bit more flexibility when it comes to patching together needed stats.
This started out as a blank page with preset sections that I could add objects to and resize as needed. Maybe Coda could do something similar?
Anyways, I adore Coda and what it’s managed to achieve. A doc and an app, pure genius. Can’t wait to see what else becomes of it!
Hi everyone! My name is Margarita and I work at a large labor union in the US supporting our organizing work nationally. I’ve always found spreadsheets exciting and am having a lot of fun learning how to use Coda! I have a non-work related mix of tables that I’ve created to better understand humanity, historically - how long humans have been around and discoveries across continents and how we are organized now across the world. It’s super fun and interesting! Really glad to here and to be part of this community!
Hey there, fellow Coda enthusiasts!
My name is Mahmoud, and I lead a fascinating dual life. By day, I dive headfirst into freelancing, where I specialize in full-stack JavaScript development and data science. But that’s not all—I also manage a small family business, which keeps me on my toes. However, in this current chapter of my life, I have a bit of free time. And you know what? I’ve fallen head over heels for Coda. It has become my latest obsession, as I explore its limitless potential and discover all the incredible things it can do.
When I’m not engrossed in code or managing my family business, I find joy in putting my thoughts into writing. I enjoy crafting detailed tutorials on topics that captivate me the most. Lately, I’ve been immersing myself in the world of Rust—an incredibly powerful language that transcends various domains. Additionally, I have a profound fascination with philosophy, especially epistemology. There’s something magical about exploring the nature of knowledge and diving into profound philosophical concepts.
Now, I must admit, my home country, Lebanon, may not be the most well-known place on the map. However, you might have come across recent discussions about its challenging economy on the ColdFusion YouTube channel. While it sheds light on some of the country’s economic struggles, there’s so much more to discover. Trust me, Lebanon boasts breathtaking landscapes and mesmerizing views, particularly because I reside near the majestic mountains. Hiking has become one of my passions, allowing me to immerse myself in nature’s beauty and find solace amidst the grandeur of the outdoors.
I’m absolutely ecstatic to be a member of this vibrant Coda community, brimming with individuals who share a passion for organization, productivity, and creativity. It fills me with great anticipation to forge connections with each and every one of you through the realm of social media. Together, let’s embark on a journey of sharing knowledge, exchanging experiences, and delving into thrilling adventures.
I genuinely hope that my message resonated with you, captured your interest, and didn’t come across as excessively lengthy or tedious.
With warmest regards,
Mahmoud
I’m interested in joining the Coda community because I’m curious about the potential of this new platform and its possibilities for collaboration and productivity. I’m excited to learn more about the platform and how it can help me stay organized and efficient.
I’m also looking forward to connecting with other users to hear their experiences and ideas on how to best utilize Coda.
Hi Jen Jen,
Then you have come to the right place.
Welcome! And enjoy the journey.
