Is there a way to programmatically control the color of a callout?

i have a callout to summarize the status of a process

there is some logic that controls what text is displayed

when everything is ok, it still looks like this (in red) because there does not appear to be a way to programmatically control the color of the callout

i would love to be able to change it to another color when the status is clear.

any suggestions? i know there are hidden formulas to control the color of text, maybe there is one for callouts too…

Having perhaps a conditional format for the Callouts would be a nice, based on contained text and/or a formula etc.
