Launched: Coda is now available for customers requiring HIPAA compliance

For organizations that work with patient and other sensitive health data, it’s critical to keep that information secure. And we know how important it is that the tools you use for work help keep that data protected.

That’s why we’ve invested in improving our internal security controls and launched new guidance for Enterprise customers to use Coda in a HIPAA compliant manner.

If you or a company you’re working with requires HIPAA compliance, head to this Help Center article for more information on how to configure and use Coda in a compliant manner.

Coda’s security and privacy strategy is built upon well-established security principles and practices. We continue to invest in our internal security controls, third party audits and enterprise features to continue to maintain our trust with customers. This is exciting! Will this only be available to enterprise accounts? I ask because the non-profit discount is not offered to enterprise users.

In Europe, we have the HDS (is a French term that specifically refers to entities or services that host health data.) compliance (like the HIPAA in the US). Is it on your roadmap?

Hey Tommy, HDS isn’t currently planned on our roadmap, but if there’s significant interest, we can consider adding it.
