Locked columns with upcoming sync pages?

Hi @Ayuba_Audu,

I would wager to say that all we really need is to make the “Disable if” feature available for all column types, not just buttons. This takes a tried and tested existing feature and expands it so that we can leverage the amazing CFL achieve any scenario where we want to make a certain cell editable or not based on various business conditions.

If you want to go all the way with this awesomeness, then we can also have a “Hide if” feature available on all columns. However, this one will be tricky, because you will want the “hiding” to apply at the view level, not at the root table level - a bit how conditional formatting currently works.

Such formulaic disabling and hiding will not be a security feature, just as page locking isn’t. It’s just a tool for the maker to offer better UI/UX to the doc’s end users.

This is my first post in the community in almost a year. I had given up on the product due to the lack of progress in this area as well as on on shareable editable sync pages. You are the PM who is working hard to deliver the latter, maybe you can also be the one who delivers the former :saluting_face:
