Due to some special requirements I empty a couple of tables before I reuse them. I turns out that under certain conditions the table columns change from one type to another, and that is not always desired behavior.
So we could really use another table option to turn of automatic changing of data type based on Coda’s interpretation of what is good for us.

I agree, this has happened to me a few times and can be annoying. the most obvious example is a text column changing itself to a number column.
a possible workaround it to have a dummy row that you filter out by default and always hold a text value
