Published doc shows deleted rows for users who are not logged in?

Okay if you read the title, it might sounds weird, but it is what it is. Here’s the scenario:

  • I have a doc (Doc A) with a lot of data inside it
  • I copied Doc A to Doc B
  • I deleted all the data in Doc B, everything’s fine
  • Then I publish Doc B
  • If I open Doc B’s publish link with:
    • Current user: everything’s fine
    • Other logged in user: everything’s fine
    • Open in incognito: I can see all the deleted data
    • Guest (open in browser I don’t use): same, can see all the deleted data

This is very concerning in my opinion, because deleted data are not meant to be shown in the first place. Second, in my case, I can’t share it to my client because I’m afraid that they will see the same data if they happen to open it before logging in to Coda. It’s their data so privacy is not an issue here, but the new doc is meant to be empty.

I’m not sure if this is related to recent UI improvement, but please help as I need to share this doc with my client. Thank you.

It’s fixed! It’s around 30 minutes after Doc B was published, or around 1 hour after data in Doc B was deleted. But the data’s not showing anymore for guest users. :man_shrugging:
