Managing recurring meeting notes gets messy, with notes easily lost in scattered docs or forgotten entirely. For this week’s Coda Guild template, I built a tool to keep meeting notes organized and avoid the “didn’t we already talk about this?” problem.
How It Works
- Recurring Meetings: Meetings are set with a recurrence interval, and an automation generates the next meeting when the current one wraps up.
- Linked Agenda Topics: Standing agenda topics live in a separate table and automatically carry forward to the next meeting.
- Linked Notes: Notes are tied to specific meetings and agenda topics, letting you scroll back in time to see what was discussed for a particular topic in previous meetings.
Why I Built It
I find that most meeting note templates fail to connect agenda items with meetings and don’t provide enough continuity for recurring discussions. This tool creates a clear thread through time for each topic, making follow-ups much easier.
