I’d love the ability to be able to rename files that I’ve uploaded to a table.

Im going to revive this because this comes up in my workflow all the time. It is more efficient to upload the file then be able to rename it once it is in the table.

One of the MAIN goals for the file organizer application I’m prototyping using Coda.
In my case I’d like to copy a pathname from Windows Explorer and Paste it into a table cell (using a cough, a Paste Button), along with some additional Select columns for choosing tags and other informational metadata about the file, all of which then gets concatenated into the new pathname column where I can then click a Copy button to then rename the file back in the file explorer.
Being able to encrypt or garble / make unique (GUID) a text table cell (filename) to avoid name collisions etc., would be icing on the cake…
