Hi, new here!
I have tried all sorts of project management tools, maybe 70+ over the years.
Never stumbled over coda until i actually needed a documentation platform and quickly found out that Coda is great for project tracking, documentation, one pagers and now i have a halfway decent support ticket system.
So cool to have all of this in a single platform.
Currently i have a form that populates a table, and i use the gmail pack to send replies. Works perfectly.
However, to complete this system it would be great to be able to have an automation that copies data from the Gmail inbox table to sub item rows for table entries that matches the thread id.
Is this possible?
The formulas in Coda seem very powerful, but it’s a bit over my head.
Anyone that could help me here, or point me in the right direction?
Hi Kristian,
Welcome to the community, and to Coda!
Can you expand a little bit on your requirement? I am sure that somebody in the community will be able to help. E.g. what data do you want to be copied?
Hi Piet,
Well, Maybe just copying the body content to a new subitem line in the row that has matching thread id,
Maybe more is wise, but to get going and testing it out i think that as an initial should be good.
Hi Kristian,
How I would approach it is to add a button to the “Gmail table”. Select a button that will add a row, tell it which table you want to add the row to.
It will then allow you to select columns, and you can use = to select the columns from the Gmail table you want to send.
When it is working, you can click on the f-formula icon, and it will you show you the formulas it created in the background.
I hope that gets you started.
