Up for a Fireworks challenge? 🎆

Many know that it’s U.S. Independence Day next week (as a side note: Coda will be closed that day), and with that comes fireworks. :fireworks:

That got me thinking: is it possible to create fireworks in Coda in some way? I can see a couple paths, but I’m curious what your solutions would be.

So here’s the challenge: Create fireworks in Coda. Your solution can be static or animated. Big or small. Bold or subdued. As long as it is in line with Coda’s terms of use, it qualifies.

Share your solution in the comments by July 3rd 11:59PM PST for a chance to win one of 3 Coda swag packs! I’ll share the winners’ solutions, plus a few others on our Twitter on July 4th. :us:

 Hmm, I can’t reproduce that. I’m using the column options in the source table

@Brian_Klein quite an experimental and very personnal interpretation  (in 10 minutes only  )
Would deserve a little more work and creativity…!

(And I voluntarily didnt start to think to svg, it’s like cheating ^^)

Really clever solutions thus far! Like @Eric_Koleda I can’t win, but here’s my entry.

I had a very similar idea as @Mahmoud but I used a scatter plot

Things I might tweak if I have time:

  • Getting the chart to cluster the points better.
  • Making the animation smoother

Let’s go!!! Such a fun implementation @Josh_Redd

This is great, Josh! I love the little smoke emojis after too – perfect. And also, welcome to the community (I’m the person behind Coda’s Twitter account) :slightly_smiling_face:

I would rate that CODA-E art 5-stars!

Far from perfect :innocent: … But here’s another one :fireworks:  …
