Many know that it’s U.S. Independence Day next week (as a side note: Coda will be closed that day), and with that comes fireworks.
That got me thinking: is it possible to create fireworks in Coda in some way? I can see a couple paths, but I’m curious what your solutions would be.
Share your solution in the comments by July 3rd 11:59PM PST for a chance to win one of 3 Coda swag packs! I’ll share the winners’ solutions, plus a few others on our Twitter on July 4th.
As we say in our Coda docs, happy 7th April for next week!
Hmm, I can’t reproduce that. I’m using the column options in the source table
@Brian_Klein quite an experimental and very personnal interpretation (in 10 minutes only )
Would deserve a little more work and creativity…!
(And I voluntarily didnt start to think to svg, it’s like cheating ^^)
I’m not eligible to win, but I couldn’t help but try!
I wish I had more time to enter and make it fun! But its an unusually busy week
Really clever solutions thus far! Like @Eric_Koleda I can’t win, but here’s my entry.
I had a very similar idea as @Mahmoud but I used a scatter plot
Things I might tweak if I have time:
- Getting the chart to cluster the points better.
- Making the animation smoother
I love the heart and then the flares falling!
I love all the labels of “pop” “whoosh” “splash”
I was told by Twitter Coda to add my Notion alternative so dont kick me out! -
Let’s go!!! Such a fun implementation @Josh_Redd
This is great, Josh! I love the little smoke emojis after too – perfect. And also, welcome to the community (I’m the person behind Coda’s Twitter account)
Here’s what CODA·E imagined:
I would rate that CODA-E art 5-stars!
