View-only mode for my own doc

Hello there!

I am very new to coda and have a question. How can I enter View-only mode for my own doc? Every document link opens it in edit mode because I am logged in. Even if the link is with only View and Play access level. I want something like view mode in Dropbox Paper: no panels, no blinking cursor, no editing buttons and menus, only data and basic interactivity (e.g. working links).

And I want it in browser tab, not fullscreem. How can I do this? Thanks in advance.

Open it in Incognito window?

Disregard above method, it won’t work — the doc will be playable.

Method that works:

  1. Click Share -> Embed
  2. Turn off “Enable play” toggle
  3. Copy the link from iframe src="..." part of the generated code.
  4. Open the link in your other tab, not necessarily incognito.
  5. Enjoy :slight_smile:

This is exaclty what I have been looking for! Thank you :grinning:

Thanks also in 2021 :slight_smile:

I concur, this would be nice and give it a wiki feel than a doc feel (more time spent reading, not writing always!)
