Youtube Metadata

Hello, today I am going to share my first Coda pack!

It’s about YouTube, and I’m very excited to share it with you all. As someone who’s deeply interested in analyzing YouTube information, I’ve created this pack to make it easy for anyone to explore and organize YouTube metadata effortlessly. Let me introduce you to the YouTube Metadata Pack!

Unlock the Power of YouTube Metadata

Are you a content creator, marketer, or researcher looking to streamline your YouTube workflows? Say hello to the YouTube Metadata Pack—your new secret weapon for organizing, analyzing, and leveraging YouTube video and channel data!

Data that can be extracted:

  • Video ID
  • Video Link
  • Video Title
  • Number of Views
  • Number of Likes
  • Number of Comments
  • Video Description
  • Video Duration
  • Video Genre
  • Thumbnail URL
  • Video Topics
  • Top Comments
  • Video Published Date
  • Type of Video (Short or Long)

If you provide a video link, the pack will extract metadata for that specific video. However, if you provide a channel link, the pack will extract metadata for the latest 100 videos from that channel, which is often more than enough for most use cases.

Hope you enjoy using it. I might do some work on similar packs laters which complement this pack… here is the link for the pack :

thank you @SALEM_MALIBARY , that is a nice Xmas gift.

for those wondering where to find the settings to fill out the API details, you first have to drag & drop the element on the canvas and then it shows:

I share this because I first could not find the ‘it in the settings’

Anyway many fervent YT users may like this info

Cheers, Christiaan

Thanks for sharing and it’s true I haven’t used the proper authentication since I am a little skiptic if this could lead others to use my API key. Also, heavy users of the pack can use multiple keys , I am not sure if they can automate it or not …

Do you think proper Auth Key is essential?

well I would expect only the API key to be asked for and not a general URL
nobody can access your API key, it is a good practice that users bring their own keys and does pay their own bills.
