I have been trying to use the AI tool as a way to summarise outstanding items on a to-do list for a project. I have used both the AI Block tool (pointing the prompt to a particular cell in a table to give a short summary of what has been completed and what is remaining), and also using an AI-column within the table itself (similarly, referencing a source column in the same table, and writing a summary).
In both cases I have noticed that if I mark/unmark a checkbox in the source column, it does not triger the automatic refresh of the AI response (I do have the auto-refresh setting enabled!). However, if I make a text change to the source column, then it does indeed register the event and trigger an auto-refresh of the AI result. For example, ticking the checkbox does nothing for the AI summary, but ticking the checkbox and typing “completed” next to the item DOES trigger the AI response.
Is this a known issue, and are there any plans to fix it?
