Attachments in tables only viewable by uploader

Repro steps:

  1. Create new table with column for file uploads
  2. upload a file
  3. Share doc with second user
  4. Second user opens doc and views row with upload

Expected Result: I should be able to view and download the attachment

Actual Result: I can view the name of the uploaded file in the table, but when I click to view or download, I get one of three errors:

  • This site can’t be reached
    codahosted.io ’s server IP address could not be found.
    DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN
  • This site can’t be reached
    Check if there is a typo in codahosted.io.
    DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN
  • The webpage at codahosted.io/docs/.../blobs/…?codaUse=preview might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

Other info:

  • browser: Chrome & Chromium
  • team subscription
  • tested jpg and pdf attachments
  • issue happens with both doc owner and doc editors
  • initially discovered when I could not view an attachment uploaded via forms
