Can I amend the copy in comment notifications

  • We run a case management system on coda
  • There are a lot of rows and a lot of comments
  • This means that users receive dozens of notification emails for different rows, all with same Subject Line" “New notifications in CSM Feedback Hub”
  • It would be useful to be able to customise these email notifications to make the alerts more manageable.

I don’t have an answer for you, but I’m pleased to hear that someone else is using coda for a case management system! I’ve been working on building one as well. If you’re open to it, I’d love to learn how you’ve designed this.

Yes for sure! I’d love to get your feedback too, as I just cobbled it together! We process 60 cases a month with multiple stakeholders contributing to each case.

notifications always land in the row where they got triggered
but to have the message clear in your notification email you can use functions like Concatenate() or Format() to share important details. Note that notifications only support basic text and no hyperlinks. I use Format() by default in my notifications to inform people.

As I mentioned here, we need an advanced notification center on workspace level in coda to manage all of this.
