Copy and paste Date columns from Coda to other formats

I am finding that when I cut and paste row data from Coda containing columns in Date format, then the dates are pasted in their original USA style date formatting, and not the format I expressly configured in Coda.

I can sort of understand how this happens (as the true source data format is distinctly abstract from how it is rendered in a cell, but when copying an pasting into a Word document, Excel sheet, or even Email, I think it’s reasonable to expect the formatting of dates to remain in the user chosen rendering format.

Am I missing something obvious?

same issue. cant find any solution so far.

I am copy pasting date fields from a google sheet, but when i paste it on coda it messes up the format and gives error.

Hi @David_Clegg, this is a known issue, so we’ve added these details to the existing report. As far as a workaround, if you set your column to a date type and choose the DD/MM/YYYY format, you should be able to paste in that format.
