Create a mobile app for end users of Coda doc

You can check out a product call glideapp.io
Using their product, you can convert a google sheet into a mobile app. But it’s only a web based app, added to home screen from safari. They have smartly optimised the page to remove all safari UI elements so that it looks just like a native app.

I was able to share the ‘view only’ link to my coda doc with my doc’s end user. They only have to consume the content. editing is not required. While they were able to open the link on their safari mobile. But when they bookmarked and added it to their home screens, safari UI elements still show up.

I think this can be addressed with a small tweak by the Coda team!

Please let me know if you’d like me to explain more. With screenshots and stuff.

Kinda shocked this is the only instance of this topic I can find in the community.

Any updates on how app works for end users—i.e. non ‘app makers’?

If Coda followed JotForm’s custom app feature in this regard, it could replace soo many mobile apps.

Try it with a published doc - that seems to work for me (iOS homescreen bookmark launches without Safari UI).
