Create Shortcuts on Smartphone to Coda Doc

Hi,

It would be awesome if we could have shortcuts to our coda docs straight from the phone, instead of having to go through the Coda app every time.

Cheers,

If you’re using Android, you can add links to your homescreen. The docs will open in Chrome instead of the app, but you’ll have the same functionality.

When you’re viewing the doc you want to add, use the top right browser menu and “Add to Homescreen”.

Hell yeaaaah!

Now Coda docs are REALLY as powerful as an app

Looking forward so much to everything that’s coming.

This is an OK workaround, but it would be really nice if you could do this from within the Code Mobile app as well, maybe from the Docs view, maybe press and hold to drag a doc to your home screen, kind of like you would with an App from the App drawer.

This would make things really convienent for Editors / Viewers that don’t need the Coda Mobile App per se, but really need the “Coda-based App” I’ve built for them (i.e. the Doc).

Good workaround, thing is, people is probably not voting this more because it just works, but if Coda add to the app, the shortcut will be more efficient and easy, marketing it = more success. Be the first, Coda already differentiates, not bad to add more differentiation, any web page can have a shortcut added to Smartphone and this feature (should be easy to implement) will make the app way of docs feature and marketing more robust.

+1 for this, ideally as a widget!
