Cross-doc Select list Colors Not Inheriting

Is there a way to keep the select list colors from the source doc into the cross-doc table? Currently select list columns in a cross-doc table do not inherit the colors of the origin table.

I so dearly wish conditional formatting as well as select list formatting could be drawn through. I suspect the reason it can’t is that because conditional formatting can be (thankfully!) formulaic, those formulas could very likely not be valid in the destination doc.
This wouldn’t be the case for select lists though so I presume Coda could make them carry their colors.
My workaround for static lists at least (i.e. converted to a table) is often to have an “conditional formatting” column with the formula “thisttable.find(thisrow)” and the use the “uses color scale” option to get a nice spread. And then although they don’t carry through, it’s quick to do the same in the destination doc based on the the same field.
