When I import some crossdoc tables, the column headings can change. As you can see in this example the original table has the column headings, such as ‘Velocity CoMan’ when they are imported in, a space is being inserted between the ‘Co’ and the ‘Man’. Perhaps the algo is detecting a ‘camelcase’ scenario and inserting the space.
Yes, the algo does that; for some reason it loads names via cross-doc with spaces removed and then tries to make a dumb guess about how to reconstruct those.
You can rename columns in the target table to your liking though; it won’t affect anything in the original table.
Yes the name of the column in a table using cross-doc is irrelevant, however it’s a bug I want to post so Coda eventually fixes.
Hi all,
Bumping this post.
It would save me so much fiddling around with manually renaming CrossDoc tables after importing them if column headings were to be exactly as they are in the original table.
I often find myself attempting to reuse formula in a new Doc, copied from the Doc containing the original table. I either need to go through an modify references in the formula, or modify the column headings.
