I use the “wide” option for content alignment almost for all my pages. It would be useful to set this as a default value.
+1 for this request.
It would makes our life easier. I makes a lot of sense to add this feature on a document Default for new pages Settings along the font options.

i do this for EVERY page i create
so having the option to make it the default would be excellent

would definitely speed up the process in the long run.
Want to re-reference @Ander suggestions here. I totally agree and think he put it really well.
This feature would be very useful to have something homogeneous.
Also not only the content alignment, but it would be nice to be able to define a default for every page created for all the settings “Header”/“Font”/“Font Size”/“Content Alignment” etc…

As a side note, I don’t understand why there’s a “default” option if we can’t change the setting for our own “default” option. Please fix this, Coda!
Came here to say that a default setting for content alignment is now available on the doc level! You can also apply the settings not just to new pages, but all existing pages in your docs, and there are other goodies like page name & icon, subtitle, authors and more to set defaults for.
Thank you very much, that saves many mouse clicks!
