Just as you can display Select and Relation columns as Checkboxes/Radio buttons in Forms, I’d like to be able to do the same for Select and Relation controls. (See mockup image below.) There are times when having to open a dropdown to select between just two or three options is more inconvenient than the slim height of a dropdown is tidy.
I would also love to be able to display them as Button Groups. I’ve rigged buttons together before, making the “selected” one disabled, but you have to create checkbox controls and Push Buttons as a workaround. Yuck. “Yeah, but what if you had 30 options?” To that I say let me shoot myself in the foot; I’d still prefer to have the option.
Dropdowns would still be the norm (despite what the mockup show).
